Who We Are

The first initiative of its kind for Bangladeshis in Denmark.

Volunteer Squad Denmark (VSD) is a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the Bangladeshi community in Denmark. As the first of its kind in the country, VSD stands out as a unique initiative with the primary goal of assisting Bangladeshi brothers and sisters residing in Denmark, offering help during emergencies and standing by them in times of need.

We aim to create an independent and volunteer-driven platform that brings together students, their families, and other expatriates to support one another. Our commitment is to provide assistance, guidance, and a sense of community for Bangladeshis living in Denmark, ensuring they have the resources and support they need to thrive.

Our Story

A story of dedication, humanity, and community care.

VSD grew from years of quiet support for Bangladeshi students into an organized volunteer movement in Denmark.

Volunteer Squad Denmark, known as VSD, was officially established in 2025. But the heart and spirit of this initiative started long before that.

Since 2013, our current President, Rakibul Islam, has been working quietly and sincerely for the Bangladeshi student community in Denmark. Without expecting any personal benefit, he has stood beside students during their difficult times, offering mental support, practical guidance, and a helping hand whenever needed.

For many Bangladeshi students arriving in Denmark, the journey is full of challenges. Finding housing, understanding the job market, managing studies, dealing with loneliness, and adjusting to a new culture can be overwhelming. During these moments, Rakibul Islam and like-minded volunteers have been there to support students with care, patience, and dedication.

From helping students find accommodation to guiding them about job opportunities, from listening to their personal struggles to solving small everyday problems, the work has always been rooted in compassion and community responsibility. The goal was never recognition or reward. The goal was to make sure that no student felt alone in a new country.

VSD was officially formed in 2025 to give this long-standing community work a stronger platform, a clearer structure, and a wider reach. What started as individual support has now become an organized volunteer movement dedicated to empowering Bangladeshi students and strengthening the Bangladeshi community in Denmark.

Today, VSD continues to carry the same values that inspired its beginning: unity, kindness, guidance, and service. We believe that when a community supports each other, everyone grows stronger together.

VSD is not just an organization. It is a story of dedication, humanity, and the belief that even small acts of support can make a big difference in someone's life.
